Conundrum

I have double booked my self yet again.

On the 22nd of October I have to choose between two things.

1) Being a wandering character at the Teddy Bear's Picnic for the Westmead Children's Hospital. They said that my six feet nothing inches height is perfect for one of their characters:

Pros: Can steal food and slap people with a disguise on. Also, Emja would be my character minder (kinda kinky?)

Cons: Gets very hot and lots of pre-teen boys like to slap them around - I have seen this at past picnics.

2) Cycling 50km on car free roads with the Bicycle NSW Spring Cycle:

Pros: Em's Dad is gonna ride it with me so there are major quasi-in-law points to be had.

Cons: Last time I rode in anything other than a commute to work, I crashed out and lost half my left shoulder.

Hmmm...decisions decisions.

Can't wait to see sis in two weeks' time - Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

You guys have to stop being so funny and interesting

because this morning, I was perusing your blogs and I got so caught up that I poured the ENTIRE contents of my sultana box into my porridge. I'd only meant to add a few to sweeten the oatmeal deal. And it was a 500g box, not one of those pussy school lunch box ones.

Do you know how hard it is to fish sultanas out of porridge?!

In the end, I had to sieve the porridge through my teeth and spit out the sultanas.

Yum.

Anyways, I saw An Inconvenient Truth on the weekend. It was really interesting. Al Gore is much smarter and more personable than I had realised. My only slight doubt is that he spent most of the movie in cars and planes, two of the worst polluters of the atmosphere going.

Did you know that the US and one other country are the only developed nations not to sign the Kyoto Protocol. The other country is Australia.

Also, Australia has the fourth cheapest petrol in the world. The Uk price is DOUBLE ours.

Argh!

Anyways, I'm trying to do my bit by running to/from work everyday. How much carbon does one exhale on a 6 km run?

Shout outs to Katie Cyclops for being a champagne sister.

Bag Art

There's a craze at the moment for quirky advertising on the sides of bags. Por ejemplo:

That last one gives a whole new meaning to bag lay-dee, doesn't it?
