I'm a survivor

On the most ironical of grey cold days, Emja, me and the crew* headed out to Marto Place and did the walk against warming.

Estimates of the crowd reached 20,000. We shall see if just walking down the street actually achieves anything.

It was good for random f-grade celebrity spotting though. Among the people we saw:
- The weird looking guy from the chaser who put the sausages down his pants to attract sniffer dogs;
- Johanne Lees (of Peter Falconio - killed in the Oz desert fame);
- Mel from Sunrise (grrrrrr - kill! kill!); and
- (apparently from the news coverage) Cate Blanchett.

But Emja got into it - joining the marching band with an impromptu maracca solo.

Managed to get a cold but finished my last uni assignment for the year so all in all a great weekend.

Can't believe it's one day until KT becomes a Yank - nooooooooo!
